Practical experience that most companies are looking for is that a truck driver that has hauled most types of freight which can confirm a minimum of 3 years of experience driving vehicles of similar configuration that the carrier is operating.
 
To confirm eligibility on the basis of practical experience, truck driver recruiters require the truck driver’s full name, license information and details of driving positions during the preceding three years, indicating the type of vehicle configurations each assignment involved. Reference letters may also be required in some cases.
